Mir persönlich hat „Hanzo the Razor – Sword of Justice“ nicht wirklich gefallen. Dies liegt allerdings nicht daran, dass mir der Film nur in japanisch mit deutschen Untertiteln vorlag, sondern wirklich an der Tatsache, dass mich die Story wenig fesselte. Die Storyentwicklung zieht sich ewig hin und man hofft immer darauf, dass etwas passiert. Leider passiert aus meiner Sicht nicht wirklich viel.
Auch stört es mich ein wenig, dass man dem Film sein Alter von mittlerweile 35 Jahren ansieht. So wirken die meisten Effekte aus heutiger Sicht ein wenig billig und können wenig bis gar nicht mehr schockieren.
Ein dritter Punkt, der mir persönlich nicht gefallen hat, sind die schauspielerischen Leistungen. Bei allen Hauptdarstellern fehlt es mir ein wenig an Talent.
Nur weil mir der Film nicht gefällt, heißt das nicht, dass dieser Film eingefleischten Asiafans nicht gefällt. Es ist sicherlich so, dass den Fans dieses Genre dieser Klassiker gefallen wird. [Sneakfilm.de]
